Qualification Statement

Nov 2nd 2010, Candidate Qualification Statement filed with San Diego County Registrar of Voters

(This statement is constrained by Registrar of Voter rules to 200 words or less. You have to wonder why a candidate would pay $200 of their own money to post and have ROV translate a statement in the ballot document when an RCPG position provides no pay!!! (Wink!))

November 2, 2010 Election

"San Diego County Ramona Community Planning Group

Dennis Grimes

Senior Program Manager

The Ramona region is under tremendous development pressure that is impacting the rural character of our community. Few of the County planning staff live in Ramona - they need guidance from Ramona residents who live here and represent your interests.

I was previously elected on, and remain true to a platform supporting Property Rights, Agriculture, and Ramona's Rural Character. For my platform, please visit: http://grimesdennis.com .

I do not enjoy the political spotlight, however, I believe it is important for citizens to participate in community matters. Prior to my initial election, I led my neighbors opposing a San Diego County-planned highway bypass which resulted in the removal of the bypass from planning maps.
